Neighborhoods are vital to our community, serving as safe and nurturing environments where families, children and residents can flourish. As the founder of the Southwest San Clemente Alliance community group, I’ve been dedicated to fostering safe neighborhoods by ensuring that drug and alcohol treatment businesses are properly licensed and zoned. Unregulated establishments of this nature have no place in residential areas. Furthermore, I will prioritize optimizing municipal codes to continue to ensure a sense of safety and security for all families within their neighborhoods.

Housing and rent costs have increased significantly, making it harder for young families to settle down here. I will think creatively and collaborate with stakeholders to find practical solutions that address the unique challenges of affordable housing in a small, built-out town like San Clemente. Deftly balancing the needs of affordable housing with existing neighborhoods is essential to ensure that proposed solutions are respectful of the town's character and community fabric.

Creating safe, desirable, and enduring neighborhoods where all residents can live, work, and play is a top priority for me. I understand firsthand how these issues impact residents' well-being, and I am deeply committed to being proactive in ensuring neighborhood safety while fostering a sense of community and belonging for everyone.
